Fasnacht Parade in Zürich

Last Sunday in Zürich was not the best weather. It was a bit chilly with rain showers on and off for most of the day. Matt and I took chose to stay in for a lazy day, despite the Carneval celebrations happening in town. We did hear the bands playing throughout town, and by 2:30 pm, they started marching down Limmatquai. We were fortunate enough to watch most of it from the comfort of our window in our pajamas. Here's a look at some of our favorite groups:

These ladies really had the Carneval spirit - smiling and waving in their short skirts and high heels, you'd think they didn't even notice the weather.

These men dressed as old ladies with brooms harassed the crowds and bopped people on the head or behind. I even saw a little kid try to fight one!

Your typical band with crazy outfits, this team had an entourage though. I'm guessing that was their family and friends all tagging behind as the crowd was not that big.
