A Word on Venice...

I was in a rush to get the pictures up from Venice that I didn't take the time to write anything about the trip.
First, I think Matt and I need to thank my mom, who worked tirelessly to make the fantastic costumes we sported most of the weekend. (I'm most impressed with the fact that my dress was made out of her old bedspread. What a way to recycle huh?)
We were repeatedly stopped to have our picture taken. I would say a conservative estimate of 100 to 200 pictures of us were taken, this might even be more pictures then were taken of us on our wedding day!
While we enjoyed being part of the Carnevale spirit by dressing for the occasion, I can't say either one of us really liked the paparazzi that surrounded us. It's hard to really argue about directions or where to eat when people with cameras appear from nowhere and capture the moment!
We had a some minor problems with the hotel we stayed at, Matt wasn't feeling well most of the weekend, and the it was raining for a few hours when we got there, but all in all it was an amazing trip.

Hey, you nforgot to thank your Dad for his role in the costume making process. . . as a live mannequin I ran the risk of being punctured by all of the pins! By the way, perhaps Matt was not feeling well due to a need to rest up between all of the trips you guys have been taking.
LOve, Dad
