Our Saturday night restaurant on the island - Isola Comacina

Restaurant host Benvenuto Puricelli performs an exorcism of fire at the end of the meal to help rid the island of a long fabled curse

This past Friday, our friends Jon and Katy from Minneapolis arrived. The four of us rented a car and drove about 4 hours to Lake Como in Italy for a weekend of sightseeing.
Saturday we ferried around the Lake between Verenna, Cadenabbia, Tremezzo, and Lenno. We eventually made our way by traghetto to the island of Isola Comacina. We had made reservations to eat at the Locanda Dell' Isola. They have a great traditional set menu here they have been serving since 1947.
We ended the evening with taking a private boat ride back to Bellagio, probably my highlight of the trip.
Our return home we lunched in Lugano and went through the St Gotthard mountain pass. Our weather could have been better, but we didn't mind since the rain kept away.
