Paris - Day One

Matt and I returned last night from our 4 days of vacationing in Paris. We were fortunate enough to stay with our friends Nickie and Troy, who have an amazing apartment just a few minutes walk from the Arch de Triomphe. (Thanks again Ken for introducing us!)
Once we dropped our bags we were off to see the Sacre Couer Basilica and Montmartre area. We ate delicious Croque Madame and Croque Monsieur sandwiches at Comestibles and French Onion Soup at a cafe just before seeing the Dali Museum. We did a Seine River cruise, ate fantastic Mexican food, and finished the night with a hike up the Eiffel Tower. What a start to the weekend!
Sacre Couer Basilica
The Madame had the Croque Monsieur and the Monsieur had the Croque Madame, as our waiter so cleaverly pointed out.
The Dali Museum housed 330 art pieces and was a grand way to pass time while the afternoon shower passed.
An afternoon break with French Onion Soup in the Montmartre artist area
The Statue of Liberty replica on the Seine River during our cruise, looks a little bigger then the Eiffel Tower, huh? Perspective is everything :)
The belly of the Eiffel Tower
The twinkle of the Eiffel Tower happens at night every hour for about 10 minutes or so
